Shipping regions

Altered Matter currently ships orders only within the 50 United States.

Orders cannot be shipped to U.S. territories or international destinations.

Processing times

Orders placed before 12:00 p.m. Central Time on a business day are processed and shipped the next business day whenever possible.

Orders placed after 12:00 p.m. Central Time, on weekends, or on holidays are processed on the following business day.

Shipping methods and carriers

All orders are shipped from Richmond, Texas (ZIP 77406) using major carriers, including USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

Typical service levels used include USPS Ground, UPS Ground Saver, and FedEx Ground, with a tracking number provided for each shipment except for local delivery methods, where tracking may not apply.

Delivery time estimates

Once shipped, most orders arrive within 3–7 business days, depending on the destination and carrier.

These delivery timeframes are estimates and may occasionally be affected by carrier delays, weather, or other events outside of Altered Matter’s control.

Shipping rates and free shipping

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the order’s weight, shipping destination, and selected service.

Altered Matter offers free standard shipping on orders of 35 USD or more (before taxes and after discounts) within the United States, with no product exclusions.

Order tracking

When an order ships, customers receive a shipping confirmation email that includes tracking information so they can follow the shipment’s progress.

If tracking shows an unexpected delay or error, customers are encouraged to contact the carrier first using the tracking number, then reach out to Altered Matter with any remaining concerns.

Delivered but not received

If a package is marked as “delivered” by the carrier but is not received, customers should first contact the carrier to open a claim and verify the delivery details.

After a claim has been started, customers can contact Altered Matter, which will review the situation and decide on any replacement or refund on a case-by-case basis.

Damaged shipments

If an item arrives damaged, customers should contact Altered Matter within 7 days of delivery with the order number and clear photos of the packaging and damaged item.

After reviewing the claim, Altered Matter will typically offer a replacement or refund, depending on product availability and the specific situation.

Incorrect shipping addresses

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the shipping address entered at checkout is complete and accurate.

If an order cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address, Altered Matter will handle any reshipment or refund decisions on a case-by-case basis and may require additional shipping charges for reshipment.

Exclusions and sales channels

This shipping policy applies only to retail orders placed directly on alteredmatter.co.
Wholesale orders placed through Faire and orders placed through TikTok Shop follow the separate shipping terms and policies provided on those respective platforms.
